Together we can break this cycle
Your gift will go twice as far to help young adults like Nicky, who entered foster care at 3, was adopted at 6, and then returned to foster care at 15. When she turned 18, she was introduced to Youth Villages, where she finally found the support she needed to thrive. She is attending college and has started her own business.
Your gift will go twice as far to ensure teens like Isaac, whose childhood was marked by instability and homelessness. He is now in college through our Youth Villages Scholars initiative, building a better life for himself and his mom.
Your gift will go twice as far for children like 9-year-old Jack, who faced the real possibility of being removed from his home when his mom landed in the ICU due to complications from alcoholism. He is now living successfully with his mom today, thanks to support from Youth Villages’ Intercept program.

FAQs
What is Intercept
Intercept is an integrated approach to in-home parent skill development that offers a variety of evidence-based practices to meet the individualized needs of a family and child. Intercept is appropriate for families with children of all ages who have serious emotional and behavioral problems or who have experienced abuse and/or neglect. The program specializes in working with children who are at high risk of entry or re-entry into foster care by helping families retain children in their custody (prevention and reunification).
What is LifeSet
LifeSet is an individualized, evidence-based community-based program that is highly intensive. LifeSet specialists meet with participants face to face at least once each week. They text, email and call young people regularly throughout the week, when needed. Specialists stabilize even the toughest situations and help young people build healthy relationships, obtain safe housing, education and employment. LifeSet is one of the nation’s first — and now one of the largest — evidence-based programs helping young people who age out of foster care. More than 20,000 young people have been helped through LifeSet across the country since the program began in 1999.
What is Youth Villages Scholars
The Youth Villages Scholars initiative further supports youth who demonstrate a commitment to achieving their educational, vocational or technical skill goals. The program is voluntary and participants choose what type of educational or vocational path they want to pursue.
